Itheum’s Rumble in the Data Jungle program is an incentivised Data DEX testing event. Web3 supporters, DeFi experts, entrepreneurs, crypto specialists and eager participants will get rewarded with a place on Itheum’s whitelist for future product rollouts.

This is essentially the most powerful, inclusive and sophisticated way to validate pragmatically that the Data DEX is ready for the world to use.

In our Discord, an additional “Test Feedback” channel has been created for our participants only. Here, you can submit any bugs or issues that were experienced during the testing of the Data DEX.. Any feedback here would be valuable, even the tiny details, so please do submit your feedback, as this is why we are doing this.

What’s in it for you?

What is included in this testing phase?

As part of this testing round, you will be asked to test three core components that open up Itheum’s Data DEX technology for the 1st time to Elrond’s over 1.6 million wallet holders. The 3 components are:

1. Elrond Wallet Data DEX Login

Log into the Data DEX using your Maiar App, Ledger, DeFi Wallet and Web Wallet

2.) Itheum Devnet Faucet

If you login via the Elrond DevNet, you will get access to the free $ITHEUM Devnet token faucet. Which provides you free tokens to test out features of the Data DEX.

1. $ITHEUM token Claims Portal

The Claims Portal is one of Data DEX’s community-oriented core features. Once you are logged in and your wallet is connected, it will notify you of allocations, claims or rewards that have been shared with you that you can then self-claim these directly into your wallet. This feature will be extremely useful for the community as we continue to create fun contests in which rewards are there to be won. Thus, if you win, you will seamlessly be able to ‘claim’ your rewards right from within the Data DEX and then use the $ITHEUM utility tokens to access the other features powered by the same $ITHEUM token.

These are the three main features of the Claims Portal

• Rewards: If a user wins a competition, they can see their winnings here
• Airdrops: If we do a community airdrop, then here is where the tokens show
• Allocations: This is for public, private and other “allocations” that are sent via a vesting schedule

What is the Data Dex?

The Data DEX (Decentralized Data Exchange) is one of our core products, which directly facilitates the peer-to-peer cross-chain trading of your personal data by putting you in control of deciding who can access your data and for what reason. The Data DEX forms the core data protocol for a Web3-based open metaverse world where you (the Data Creator) truly gets to own, control and trade your personal data for shared utility and value

Data DEX Components

The following features work hand in hand to make our Data DEX more convenient and fully decentralized. We believe that these features will eventually drive our product to mainstream adoption. The Data Dex is currently deployed to EVM testnets, and we are currently working on getting it into the Elrond Devnet.

1. P2P Trading

Traditionally, data was sold by more significant data collectors to data consumers, often without your consent. Our Data DEX gives you complete control of your data and notably allows you to exchange data in a peer-to-peer manner. We have taken advantage of smart contract technology to facilitate a seamless exchange of data.

2. Data NFTs

As personal data is unique, we have made it possible to package and tokenize your dataset as an NFT. This allows you to both reap the benefits of trading assets as NFTs whilst enabling NFT native features like limited availability and royalties

3. Data Coalition DAOs

Data Coalitions are an integral component of our Data DEX, mostly because they allow for the grouping of data, thereby making it more valuable. Your isolated data alone may not be as valuable as data collected from a group of people who share similar characteristics. For this reason, we developed a platform allowing for Data Coalitions that will function as DAOs.

4. Personal Data Proofs

At Itheum, we’ve developed a framework where Web2 data can be seamlessly transferred to Web3. This means that we’ve enabled smart contracts to access personal data, making it more effective for on-chain decision-making.

5. Data Vaults

We’ve created a data vault where you can store your sensitive personal data by encrypting it using your keys for security. This data is then stored in protected storage, making it inaccessible to third parties. From there, you can then choose to include it in your other data packs during a trade to make the data more valuable as it contains more demographic context on the person who generated the data.
